Electric Vehicle Home Charge Scheme
The Office For Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) believes the majority of EV charging is carried out at home. Therefore, they have set up grant funding for a private EV charge point installation at a domestic property. The grant is a 75% contribution up to a maximum of £500 including VAT towards the cost of installation. To receive the funding the customers must meet the eligibility criteria. A key requirement of the grant is the customer must show evidence of ownership, lease or named as the primary user of an eligible EV. For domestic EV drivers, the grant requires the EV charge point be installed at the customers private property with off-street parking attached. To access the grant, it must be claimed on behalf of the customer by an approved EV charge point installer such as Applegarth who use OLEV approved EV charge point equipment.
