Thinking about getting an EV Charger installed at your home or workplace? Applegarth specialise in renewable energy installations. Our highly qualified engineers can install EV chargers for domestic and commercial use in the Formby and across Lancashire. Applegarth is accredited by the government Office For Low Emission Vehicles to install EV chargers under the OLEV grant scheme. There are currently three grants available:
Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme
This grant funding is open to domestic electric vehicles owners to help cover the cost of EV charge point installation. For a single EV charging point, the grant offers a contribution of up to 75%, up to the cost of £500. To qualify for the grant you must be the owner or leaseholder of an electric vehicle that is eligible under the scheme, have off-street parking and use an accredited installer.
Workplace Charge Point Scheme
For commercial environments, the ‘Workplace Charge Point Scheme’ is in place to provide funding support for the installation on EV chargers at places of business. The grant provides up to £300 of the cost of each EV charger installation. A claim can be made up to a maximum of 20 single sockets or 10 double charging points.
On-Street Residential Charge Point Scheme
When residential off-street charging is unavailable, a request to the council for an EV charging point can be made. The ‘On-Street Residential Charge Point Scheme’ is available to local authorities to help cover the costs of an EV charger installation. Funding of up to 75% of the cost of installation is available, the grant can provide up to £7,500 with the remaining 25% being funded by the local authority.
